Open House (by Gene Propper):
Thanks
to all of the WWW Club Members who helped "man" the Cook shack, this
past Saturday, April 19th. What a beautiful and gorgeous sunny day. A
day in which we all could sure find lot's of other things to do.
So,
I'd like to say "Thank
You" to all the WWW Club Members
who said
they'd be there in advance and kept their promise:
Bucky Buxton,
Tim Lorenz, Bill & Donna Morrill, Jason Jewett, Jim Jewett, Bob Grinley, and Brandon Merrill.
Special
Thanks to Bucky & Brandon for running around all over the countryside,
doing the grocery shopping, Sue Buxton (behind the scenes) and to Mike
O'Donnell for his part. Another
fine "team effort ".
Thanks
Again, Gene

of trails (by Mike Duhaime):
please post all trails closed. the
fields are bare, unless they want to park at the stark pond lot and stay in the
park the waterways are not safe and we do not need to pull any one from the ice
or streams. both tractors are now at the farm and will
be serviced for the summer . thanks to all who helped
no matter how or when. we did a great job. please try to pick up any signs or banners you go past
that are easy to get to we can sweep the trail system when things dry up
a little bit more thank you, mike d

Congratulations
to Billy and Bunk Boisvert on a spectacular
finish to the Cains Quest Challenge. Our
collective hats are off to you guys for a well deserved finish..........Way to
go and we are proud of you for hanging in there, when others would have thrown
in the towel, you (both) persevered.
Again,
the Weare Winter Wanderers Snowmobile Club and friends, offer
our congratulations and hope to see you when you return home.
3/11/08, End of season? (by
hey all i think we may want to call it a season, and a great
one at that i just came in from putting up the
closed banners with danny to the request of army
corp. we have little left to groom and the trails are getting very icy ,
unless we get a storm soon i think we should
consider this . let me know if you think
differently i am a bit of a pessamist,
on a good note there were two riders coming into the parking lot at boisverts on sunday nite who shook my hand in thanks for a excellent season of
riding they have ridden two thousand miles from weare
this year, and were very appreciative . amazing
considering they each had at least ten year old arctic cats( pre turbos). also remember we have a
meeting on friday nite you
should all be there if you can . i dont want any excuses about riding up north one last time i was just up ther and there is no snow left in any of the corners form pittsburg to errol and back, all of
the hills are worn out cuz gene and brett could not control themselves or at least could
not control thier right thumbs in the pouring rain
for 150 miles. see you on friday

2/20/08, Cystic Fibrosis Ride on Club
Trip (by Dan Johnson):
On Saturday, in Colebrook there is a charity ride for Cystic
Fibrosis. The organizers of the ride are friends of mine. It's a 35
mile ride and money raised goes to the CF foundation. There is a banquet
afterwards and a silent auction. Missy and the kids are going and Greg
and Diane are going. There will be a truck there so if anyone wanted to
drive back to Gorham instead of riding that would be an option. Missy and
Dallas want to ride from Colebrook to Gorham and are looking for someone to do
the ride with them.

1/30/08, Points Redemption (by Greg
Seaver):
Just a reminder that
any members who have points need to use them up by the end of the Weare Winter
Wanderers 2007 – 2008 year which ends in November. If you are planning on attending the club
trip in February this would be an excellent time to cash them in. I will have point totals at the February
meeting at the Duhaime residence.
1/30/08, Upcoming Ride-In Meeting (by
I will be shooting
for a ride in meeting this month again I will sign the trail from 114 and
Hogdon Rd. I will use 3 small
diamonds on a stake with a “w” in the center one to mark
the trail, there will be several. I
would like to put up a notice now too get as many folks as we can to show. We are going to need a lot of commitment of
help for the radar runs as parking and traffic will be a big issue.
1/29/08, Club Ride this upcoming
Thursday (by Gene Propper):
Guys...........Thursday
Night is "Men's Night Out"..........
Charlie
Brown's Bridge at 7pm......sharp !!
Be gassed, er.....,
I mean be (fueled up) and ready to ride.........
The true measure of this ride is to see who gets in the front
and who gets to ride in the "blinding" cloud of snow dust. Yeah, I
know where I'll end up.........do you ?
Sooooo, are we all on the same page ??
"Honey, don't wait up , I'll keep it under
45..........yeah sure.........if you can get out without the lecture you're a
better man than me..........just make sure the insurance is up to date and as
our fearless leader (Trailmaster, Mike) will tell you "keep the
rubber side down" And, my two cents,"have a heavy thumb and you'll
have fun"......... Mike D. has a route all planned out. Saddle up and we'll see you on the trails..
